9mobile becomes MTN ally as they partner for a shared network coverage

9mobile's 2.97 million subscribers can now breathe a sigh of relief as the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has approved a three-year national roaming deal between 9mobile and MTN Nigeria. This agreement allows 9mobile Subscribers to roam on MTN's extensive network, potentially solving long-standing coverage and service issues.

This deal is a strategic win-win for both operators, enabling 9mobile to regain lost ground without building out it's national infrastructure, while MTN gains access to 9mobile's underused spectrum assets. 9mobile subscribers can now access MTN's network in areas where 9mobile's coverage is weak or absent, ensuring seamless connectivity.

The partnership is expected to improve service delivery and expanded access to quality mobile service.
